The committee discussed guidance from Upper Valley Land Trust that lady slipper plants should be moved at least 20 feet from the trail corridor to protect the plants and trail users. The committee recorded that volunteers will meet Saturday at 9:30 a.m. to install a picnic table, install signs and carry out other maintenance tasks. Kirk Morrison reported a couple of blow-downs on the Lower Putnam Trail that volunteers or staff will need to address.
The committee closed by scheduling its next regular meeting for June 22, 2026, and adjourning on a motion from Kathy Damon, seconded by John Nininger. The minutes show unanimous approval of the adjournment motion.
