She provided local indicators and regulatory updates: "2026 Median Home value is $290,000. Flock cameras are coming down. Proposed NYSEG rate increase was a 35% for electric and 40% for gas. Attempts at negotiation went to trial in February. PSC issued new temporary rates ahead of Judges recommendation. Rates increased 3.5% for electricity and 4% for gas." The report also noted a renewed plan for a three-floor "center of government" building and an estimated $14 million application for temporary housing funding at the Code Blue Shelter site, with the state expected to cover most of that expense.
Weiser said the county will begin weekly budget review meetings by the end of the summer.
