The Huachuca City Council unanimously approved a proposal to create a painted-rock garden/path in Leffingwell Park at its April 9 meeting. Town Manager Suzanne Harvey described the collaboration between the Lions Club, Huachuca City School and the Town and said the Town will spend approximately $800 to extend the sidewalk between the school and the library.
Council moved and passed the proposal without objection. The project will use schoolchildren-painted rocks to line the path; the town will provide edging and millings for the walkway connection. No additional funding sources or implementation dates were specified at the meeting.
