Huachuca City council accepts clean audit for 2024–25; staff praised

The Huachuca City Council unanimously accepted the results of the Town’s independent audit for fiscal year 2024–25 at its April 9 meeting. Auditor Jennifer Frank told the council the audit delivered an unmodified ‘‘clean’’ opinion and that the state compliance report likewise received an unmodified opinion. "Happy to report you had an unmodified clean opinion again this year," Frank said.
Frank reviewed trends across the town’s governmental and enterprise funds, saying net position and fund balances showed overall improvement, with government capital spending tied to the Skyline project and higher charges-for-services revenue related to Fort Huachuca contracts. Mayor Johann R. Wallace called it ‘‘actually an excellent audit’’ and thanked department heads for financial stewardship. The council moved to accept the audit; the motion passed unanimously.
