Mia Hines, senior planner, told the commission the roughly 15.437‑acre site just north of Brush Creek Road “is not meeting all of our criteria for approval,” and that final plat approval is contingent on a finalized agreement funding Brush Creek improvements. A staff member explained that civil engineering approvals are contingent on that funding agreement and that staff would recommend denial until the contingency is resolved. Despite that recommendation, the commission voted to grant the applicant’s extension request so the parties could conclude outstanding agreements.
Chair called for the motion to grant the extension and the board approved it without recorded opposition. The extension sets a date certain of Feb. 11, 2026, for further action. The commission’s action preserves the applicant’s ability to pursue completion of engineering plans and the funding agreement before the commission acts on a final plat.
