Mr. Gilbert presented Ordinance 13-2026, a first reading proposing closure and vacation of a portion of 76th Boulevard following written notice and consent from abutting property owners William and Aaron Holbrook. The ordinance states the city finds the closure advances the public interest and directs recording with the Madison County Clerk per Kentucky law.
Mayor Bruce Fraley opened the floor for discussion on the first reading and, seeing none, the council moved forward with the schedule for second reading and enactment on Aug. 18. The ordinance includes standard preamble findings about notice to property owners and reversion of right-of-way to adjoining landowners.
