Berea Dolphins praise city support after Bluegrass conference win

Jamie Morris, vice president of the Berea Dolphins, told the Berea City Council the team “placed 1st in our bluegrass swim conference” and credited the city for support that made hosting the conference possible.
Morris named Mayor Bruce Fraley, parks and recreation director Cilla Bloom, pool managers Cody Richmond and Canon McGlynn, and maintenance staff Herschel Bird and Chuck Calvert for assisting the team’s efforts and helping with event preparation. “Through the hard work of our swimmers, coaches, and families, we placed 1st in our bluegrass swim conference,” Morris said.
Mayor Bruce Fraley congratulated Morris and the swimmers and asked the council to join him in recognizing the season's success. The comment occurred during the public comment portion of the Aug. 4 council meeting; no formal action was requested.
