Council authorizes city manager to negotiate MOU for Project Kepler after executive session

“Mister mayor, I move that we authorize the city manager or designee to negotiate and execute an economic development memorandum of understanding for project Kepler,” said the council member who made the motion. The mayor then identified the motion as from Councilman Cloutier and the second as provided by Councilwoman Feltis; the council voted unanimously in favor.
The council recessed into executive session under sections 551.071 (consultation with attorney), 551.072 (deliberations about real property) and 551.087 (economic development deliberations). After the closed session, members returned to open session and acted on the motion; the council chair announced the motion carried 7 in favor and 0 against.
