South Chicago Heights trustees approve routine minutes, resolutions and ordinance

Trustees voted 5–0 to approve the April 20, 2026 regular meeting minutes and Committee of the Whole minutes, accept the manual check list for April 30, 2026, and approve the bill list for May 4, 2026. Clerk Catherine Linan recorded Ayes from Trustees Tracy Bosco, Sally Marrufo, Eric Stanton, Daryl Crudup and Rose Ann Diederich; Trustee Ross was absent. "There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being: Ayes: Trustee Bosco, Trustee Marrufo, Trustee Stanton, Trustee Crudup, and Trustee Diederich. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: Trustee Ross," the minutes show.
On new business the board approved Resolution 2026‑R‑18, authorizing a proposal from Clowning Around Entertainment, Inc. for entertainment services, and Resolution 2026‑R‑19, supporting a Class 8 real estate tax assessment classification application by Sargent Properties, LLC for the property at 281 East Sauk Trail; both passed 5–0. The board also approved Resolution 2026‑R‑20 terminating the village's agreement with Lauterbach & Amen, LLP for financial and accounting services and passed Ordinance 2026‑ORD‑12 to remove property from Redevelopment Project Area #5. All of those measures were seconded and carried on unanimous roll-call votes with Trustee Ross absent.
Clerk Linan completed official actions and the meeting adjourned at 7:17 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Eric Stanton and a second by Trustee Daryl Crudup.
