Public works data presented earlier in the meeting showed the village has been addressing a run of water‑system problems: DPW Director Mark Martin told trustees that since Jan. 1 the department recorded 41 water main breaks and that 23 of those were related to the village’s lead-service-line replacement program. Martin also reported that 226 lead service lines have been replaced to date.
The resolution and contract award authorize the village to proceed with the low bid and contract execution; the trustees provided no amendment to change contract scope at the meeting. The board did not record any votes against the award and no public comments were offered on the item.
