Chaz presented a proposal to renovate the existing batting cages at Hallie Park, proposing pavement expansion of about 10 feet to create an approximate 60'x120' blacktop area with cement footings to secure poles, four pitching/hitting lanes and several soft-toss areas. The commission voted to approve the concept, with Kent moving and Jayson seconding the motion.
Approval included a stipulation that final engineered drainage plans addressing runoff toward the trees to the south must be provided and approved before any excavation or construction begins. Chaz also noted that electrical routing will be placed to avoid burial beneath the blacktop so the area can be reconfigured later if needed.
