At its July 1 meeting, the Bossier Parish Police Jury adopted a proclamation recognizing July 15, 2026, as Willis-Knighton Bossier Day, honoring the hospital’s 30th anniversary and its role as the parish’s only 24-hour emergency room. The proclamation thanks the hospital for community partnerships and services to military families and students.
The jury also approved a resolution authorizing the Parish Administrator or Parish President to execute documents with the Capital Area Finance Authority to permit financing of loans to first-time homebuyers in Bossier Parish. Both measures passed unanimously.
Jurors recorded the proclamations and resolutions in the meeting minutes and authorized administrative execution of necessary documents.
