Emily Hardaway told listeners that several Douglasville elected officials were honored at a council meeting by the Georgia Municipal Association for completing the Robert E. Knox Jr. Municipal Leadership Institute. She said Council members Estes and Miller received certificates of excellence and Mayor Robinson received the certificate of dedication, the highest level, which requires 272 hours of training, including specified required and advanced hours.
Hardaway framed the recognition as evidence of ongoing training and professional development among Douglasville's elected officials and encouraged public awareness of the time and coursework involved in municipal leadership. "Mayor Robinson...received the certificate of dedication, which is the highest...that requires 272 hours of training," she said.
