Wabasso School Board Accepts Several Resignations, Hires Paraprofessional and Contract Nurse

The board accepted multiple personnel resignations and approved hires during the Sept. 22 meeting. Accepted resignations included Angie Eggert (Cook II Dishwasher, effective Aug. 26, 2025), Sam Fenger (Boys Basketball Assistant Coach, effective immediately), and Dan Isaackson (Jr. High Baseball Coach, effective immediately). Motions carrying those acceptances were unanimous.
The board approved hiring Bailey Schenk as a paraprofessional beginning Oct. 6, 2025 for 144 school days at $17.50 per hour with hours 7:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. The board also approved hiring Audrea Turbes, RN, to provide nursing services to St. Anne’s School students for roughly six hours per month (Sept.–May) at $25.75 per hour to be paid with non-public funds. Additionally, the board granted Family Medical Leave for staff member Shelby Arredondo beginning Jan. 1, 2026 through the end of the 2025–2026 school year. All personnel actions were recorded as unanimous.
