Wabasso board awards food, fuel and vehicle maintenance contracts for 2025–26

At its July 28 meeting the Wabasso Public School District Board approved several vendor contracts for the 2025–26 school year. The board accepted the dairy bid from Prairie Farms - Land O Lakes Dairy with unit prices such as 8 fl oz Fat Free Skim White at $0.3449 and 8 fl oz Fat Free Skim Chocolate at $0.3656, and approved the bread bid from Salfer's Food Center with Whole Grain Bread at $3.10 per unit.
The board also approved a propane bid from Farmward Cooperative at $1.32 per gallon and a fuel-at-the-pump arrangement with Farmers Cooperative Oil Company of Renville at $0.05 below the pump price at the Wabasso C-Store location. For vehicle maintenance, the board accepted a bid from Jenniges Gas & Diesel that lists an oil change at $31.90 (labor only), a labor rate of $90.00 per hour and an emergency service call fee of $50.00 plus the fleet rate.
