Gayla Hess, representing staff, reported to the Historic Resources Board that the oral-history grant minimum of eight interviews has been met and that the grant includes funding to conduct additional interviews. She said two interviews will have follow-up sessions: one by request and another because the initial session ran out of time.
Hess told the board a dedicated oral-history website will be completed as part of the grant work by October, which should make the recordings more widely accessible. Board members praised the interview process and encouraged identifying additional candidates for recordings; Bob Wren offered to reach out to possible interview subjects or family members.
