County continues pregnancy-prevention pilot with BridgerCare under Montana Youth Wellness Initiative

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County public health department asked the Commission to continue a pilot program that provided evidence-based pregnancy-prevention education to female clients ages 15 to 24.
Public Health Director Lauren Bolton said the program began in July of last year as a pilot with BridgerCare and is transitioning to an ongoing Montana Youth Wellness Initiative program. "The award amount is $5,124," Bolton told the Commission. She said measuring success locally is difficult but national data supports the program model.
Commissioners had no public objections; Bolton asked the board to place the Master Services Agreement and annual scope of work on the agenda for formal approval.
