The Parks Committee of the Village of Spring Grove reviewed draft field use agreements from the villages of Richmond and Johnsburg during its April 28, 2026 meeting and agreed to add a maintenance deposit to the village’s field use agreements, mirroring the parks rental forms. Committee members did not set the deposit amount at the meeting.
Members also agreed to increase maintenance personnel wages from $50 to $75 per hour as part of the updated fee and service structure for field use and rentals. Chairperson Ashley Britt and members discussed village-provided equipment, buildings and supplies while reviewing the agreement templates. Village staff in attendance included Building and Zoning Officer Bob Walczak and Public Works Supervisor Mike Frer.
The committee took the wage and deposit changes as committee direction; no ordinance or village board adoption was recorded at the meeting. The committee closed discussion on the item without finalizing a deposit amount and will carry the revised language forward for incorporation into future agreements.
