The council adopted a resolution authorizing staff to submit a grant application to the Transportation Growth Management Program, a partnership between the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development, to fund the creation of a long‑range transportation system plan.
City staff described the plan as an expensive, professional process that would allow the city to develop a capital improvement plan, address pedestrian safety and connectivity and plan for future road and utility improvements. The council approved the resolution by roll call vote with recorded ayes.
