Superintendent Brett Elliott told the board the district has received a second playground estimate and is waiting on a third bid, reportedly from Byrne & Jones, which is expected before the April meeting.
Elliott also reported a soundproofing option for the arena that would rely on district self-installation at an estimated starting cost of $12,000, compared with the architect's labor-included recommendation of $360,000. Maintenance Director Bohm is looking at ordering 100'120 acoustic baffles to begin the project. The board asked staff to review bids and identify whether projects will be funded from FY26 or FY27 budgets and to return with recommendations at the next meeting.
