The Chisago Lakes School Board adopted several resolutions on March 19 to not renew specified teaching contracts at the end of the 2025–2026 school year.
A resolution relating to long‑term substitute teachers was introduced by Sarah Aadland and adopted (resolution lists Susan Peterson, Deborah Montanye, Rory Paulsen, Melissa Smith, and Kelly Knutson). In a separate resolution regarding probationary teachers, the board declined to renew annual contracts for Madison Boeke, Ella Salewski, Jessica Olson, Molly Schreyer, Nicholas Seeger and Nina McDowell, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 122A.40, subdivision 5. The board also passed a resolution not to renew the contract of a Tier 1 teacher (Jay Junker) under Minnesota Statutes § 122A.181; each resolution was seconded and recorded as approved with five members voting in favor on March 19, 2026.
