Board approves EMS agreement with Clifton, hears AED and training updates

The Clay County Board unanimously approved a contractual agreement between Clay County EMS and the City of Clifton covering lease of equipment and building, staffing, community response teams and ambulance insurance. The motion to accept the Contractual Agreement was made by Commissioner Mayo, seconded by Commissioner Carlson and passed unanimously.

EMS Director Alec Trembath reported an AED training in Morganville with about 10 participants and described the PulsePoint app that registers AED locations so nearby responders can be notified. Trembath reviewed three virtual-training options with per-person and annual costs: Prodigy at $70 per person (approximately $1,890/year for the department), Foam Frat at $119 per person (about $3,000/year), and the current program at $64 per person (about $1,734/year). He noted Prodigy allows custom content creation and could support orientation and quarterly training.
