Santee holds 'Cannabis 101' workshop on state licensing and local permit rules

Kristin Nevedal of the California Department of Cannabis Control participated in the presentation to explain the state's licensing and citation processes and how those state-level systems interact with the City's Cannabis Business Permit Ordinance. Councilmembers asked questions of Sawa and Nevedal and staff responded; the record indicates the item was informational and no formal motions or votes were taken. The special meeting was adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
