The Chair also noted that if approved tonight the budget would move to the county commission for the next step.
The vote followed multiple prior work sessions, the Chair said, and board members thanked Sebastian and his team for preparing the budget. The board did not take public comment; the Chair stated no one had signed up for that portion of the agenda.
The action recorded in the meeting minutes was a formal approval of next year’s budget with the additional descriptive language about the $7,000,000 usage; the motion to approve was made on the record by Sebastian and later adopted by a 6–0 vote.
