Wilson County budget reduces projected revenue to $4.3 million after LEA bonus removed
Summary
Budget staff told the board they removed an expected high-performing LEA bonus from projected revenue so the payment can be distributed as employee bonuses if received; projected income in the draft fell to $4.3 million from about $5.3 million in the earlier draft.

Mister Sebastian, the staff presenter, told the board that at the board's request the anticipated high-performing LEA bonus was removed from projected revenue and will instead be paid out as a bonus if the district receives the funds.
"So the projected income is now 4,300,000," Mister Sebastian said, noting that the previous draft had the figure at about 5.3 million. He said excluding that money from projected revenue adjusted the summary and the fund-balance calculations on the bottom of the budget summary. The board instructed staff to show the intent to pay the bonus rather than roll it into recurring revenue if it arrives in time.
