The Independent School District 191 Board approved three separate resolutions addressing teaching contracts for the end of the 2025–2026 school year. Director Hume moved and Director Werb seconded a resolution to terminate the contracts of named long-term substitute teachers; the board then adopted a resolution (moved by Director Sachse, seconded by Director Chester) terminating portions of contracts in excess of 1.0 FTE; and, pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 122A.40, adopted a resolution (moved by Director Hume, seconded by Director Werb) terminating certain licensed probationary teachers’ contracts at the end of the school year. Each motion carried unanimously (7–0).
All three resolutions direct that written notice be sent to the affected teachers “regarding termination and nonrenewal of their contract as provided by law,” per the board’s recorded motions. The transcript records the statutory citation (Minnesota Statute § 122A.40) only in connection with the probationary-teacher resolution; the transcript does not list the names of the probationary teachers in the motion text included in the minutes excerpt.
