Board approves several policy readings and schedules first-reading changes
Summary
The board approved first-and-final readings with no changes for Policies 212, 213 and 214 and likewise approved no changes to Policies 404, 421 and 424; it also approved, on a first-reading basis, proposed changes to Policies 209 and 299 for future consideration.
The board took several policy actions on Feb. 26. On a first-and-final-reading basis the board approved no changes to Policies 212 (School Board Member Development), 213 (School Board Committees), and 214 (Out of State Travel by School Board Members). Separately, on a first-and-final-reading basis the board approved no changes to Policies 404 (Employment Background Checks), 421 (Gifts to Employees and School Board Members), and 424 (License Status).
Additionally, the board approved proposed changes to Policies 209 (Code of Ethics) and 299 (Student Representatives to the School Board) on a first-reading basis; those proposed changes will return for subsequent consideration as required by policy-reading procedures. All motions were recorded as unanimous (7,0).
