Rizzo, the project's civil engineer, asked planning staff for hydrant pressure and flow data; the board requested that DRB elevations be incorporated into the site‑plan submission so reviewers could see façades on Broadway and Long Alley.
Planning board members drilled into utilities and operations. Members pressed for a trash‑enclosure detail and operational plans to handle daily restaurant grease and residential waste, as well as a delivery management strategy so Long Alley is not blocked. The board also urged applicants to contact National Grid early on transformer placement to avoid conflicts, and to provide an explicit plan for bicycle parking and how the project will meet UDO bike‑parking requirements.
