Cromwell-Wright approves resignation, non-renewal and tenured leave amid staffing reductions

Superintendent Nathan Libbon presented several personnel items affecting staffing for the 2026-27 school year and the board approved all items on April 15. The board accepted the resignation of Fourth Grade teacher Abby Knight effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
Libbon also presented staffing reductions that include a non-renewal of probationary Fifth Grade teacher Amaya Wayne and an Unrequested Leave of Absence for tenured music teacher Noah Koep. On the personnel discussion Libbon said, "Thank you to Noah Koep for all he has done for our music department for the last four years," and also offered thanks to Amaya Wayne for her work with fifth grade. Each personnel motion passed on recorded votes (Yea: 5, Nay: 0, Absent: 1). Human Resources will handle notifications and next steps for recruiting or reassigning positions.
