The board voted on and approved the consent agenda and a set of personnel appointments. The clerk read motions and the board voice-voted to carry them, including probationary appointments for a bus attendant, teacher aide and a bus mechanic. The board also approved data privacy agreements negotiated by the Student Data Privacy Consortium and accepted the transportation route spreadsheet effective 01/17/2025; the Keystone purchasing network was likewise approved as presented. Each motion was seconded and the chair declared the motion carried by voice vote.
In the superintendent’s report the superintendent told the board the district’s insurance carrier had reversed course and indicated it was willing to cover roof replacement costs at Eden Elementary; he cautioned that estimates, legal advice and construction-management input are still pending. He added that if timelines hold, the roof replacement—originally scheduled for 2028—could begin this summer. The superintendent also paid tribute to district clerk Barb Tomasulo for 24 years of service and noted a reception after the meeting.
