During the April 20 meeting the board recognized National Merit Finalist Neha Potti and noted the district received a Certificate for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Superintendent Holmberg reported that the Chain of Lakes Rotary bingo event raised funds for STRIVE and student scholarships and that CAEF raised $60,000 at a recent event; CAEF remains open to donations via its website link.
Holmberg also described a student transition initiative: a high school student panel will visit Centennial Middle School to meet with 8th-grade students as part of transition planning. The district has been working with a committee on artificial intelligence and plans to convene a small advisory group of students to discuss AI in the coming weeks.
