Board approves retirements, hires and appointments including district clerk retirement

The board approved the consent agenda and a series of personnel actions recommended by the superintendent. The board accepted the resignation for the purpose of retirement of district clerk Barbara Tomasulo effective Jan. 31, 2025, and thanked her for 24.5 years of service.
Other approved personnel items included the acceptance of math teacher Paula Farrell’s resignation effective July 1, 2025; acceptance of the claims auditor Bridal Bernardi’s resignation effective Nov. 29, 2024; the permanent appointment of Kenneth Jock as a cleaner effective Dec. 12, 2024; provisional clerical appointments; and the appointment of Annette Rybczynski as claims auditor effective Nov. 21, 2024. The board also appointed election inspectors for the capital project vote on Dec. 17.
Motions were seconded and approved with voice votes recorded as "Aye"; no recorded opposing votes were raised during the public session. Board members offered brief remarks honoring longtime staff and noted additional discussion will occur in executive session on employment matters.
