At the Aug. 3 meeting the Planning Board took several formal actions:
- Approved the minutes of the July 20, 2026 meeting (motion, second; roll-call recorded). - Closed the public hearing on MBTA Communities amendments (motion, second; Rebecca Verner abstained on the motion to close). - Voted 5-0 to recommend Alternative 1 (paper compliance: raise written density to meet gross-density calculations) to Fall Town Meeting. - Voted to schedule public hearings on Aug. 31 to consider Chapter 40A bylaw revisions and a temporary moratorium on data centers.
Staff will finalize the MBTA warrant language for submission and prepare draft 40A and moratorium language for an Aug. 17 working session. Attorney Adam Costa is expected to be asked to advise the board as drafts are prepared.
