Board accepts resignations, announces retirement and hires baseball coach and custodian

Following a closed executive session on June 15, the Stark County CUSD #100 Board approved several personnel actions and recorded resignations and a retirement announcement.
Mrs. Leezer announced resignations of Cole Hartley as High School Head Baseball Coach and of Beth Chapman and Taylor Wilkinson as Senior Class Sponsors. She also announced the retirement of Brandi Helms effective at the conclusion of the 2029–2030 school year, noting that Helms will be eligible for the 6% retirement incentive specified in the collective bargaining agreement. The board approved hiring Rick Schertz as High School Head Baseball Coach (motion by Mrs. Leezer, seconded by Mrs. Price) and Donald Trenholm as 2nd Shift Elementary Custodian (motion by Mrs. Leezer, seconded by Mr. Rediger); both motions passed 7-0.
The board met in executive session beginning at 6:42 p.m. to discuss employee compensation, non-renewals, performance, employment and retirements, reconvened at 7:07 p.m., and voted to hold executive session minutes Not for Release. The public actions were limited to the hires and the announced resignations/retirement; details regarding personnel deliberations were discussed in closed session.
