Board issues negative declaration, approves demolition at 636 Route 29

The Design Review Board concluded its SEQR review for the demolition application at 636 Route 29 (Lake Avenue) and issued a negative declaration of environmental significance, finding no large or important environmental impacts based on the environmental assessment form the board reviewed.
Chair read the findings and moved for issuance of a negative declaration. A board member noted an asbestos report had already been prepared for the building department to support the demolition permit; the board then voted to approve demolition of the outbuilding structures as submitted.

Chair: "Therefore, I move for the issuance of a negative declaration of environmental significance because analysis of the information provided and presented in the environmental assessment form demonstrates that the project will not result in any large and important impact." The board followed with a motion to approve the demolition and the vote passed.
