The Columbus board approved a contract with Kordica for consulting services to gather research-based data and to advise the district on community engagement and bond-related issues. The motion was recorded on the consent agenda with a unanimous vote.
Superintendent Chip Kay described Kordica’s role at the meeting: "They would collect research-based data and use the data to consult CPS. This is someone outside the district to look at data without a biased opinion on community engagement and bond issues." The contract is intended to provide district staff with independent analysis ahead of any potential bond planning and to advise on community engagement strategies. The motion passed on the Jan. 12 consent agenda and is included in the district contract file.
