District schedules May student forum on cell phone policy; fentanyl assemblies continue through Feb. 13

Superintendent Dr. Kristin Baranski told the Board that the district plans a Student Forum on Tuesday, May 6 to continue the conversation about student cell phone use on campus and staff impacts related to Assembly Bill 3216, which takes effect July 1. She said staff would be surveyed prior to the forum and that invitations to the assemblies and forum could be extended to the City Council and City Manager.
Baranski also reported that site presentations of the Impacts and Effects of Fentanyl 'I Choose' assemblies by Rocky Herron have been well attended and will continue through Feb. 13; Board member Tracie Thill described the presentation as impactful, citing a staff member’s personal story.
