Committee approves conditional use to replace manufactured home in Del Prairie
Summary
The committee approved a conditional‑use permit under the Adams County zoning ordinance to replace an aging single‑wide manufactured home with a new unit on a lot in Del Prairie; the town supported the replacement and required removal of the old unit, which the planner said is already mandated by ordinance.

Planner Dusty presented a conditional‑use request from the Edward W. Reinwand III Revocable Living Trust to replace an existing single‑wide manufactured home with a new 20x26 single‑wide on a Del Prairie lot (Lot 2 CSM 1527). Dusty said the Town of Del Prairie did not object and characterized the replacement as an upgrade that met the town's expectations, subject to removing the old unit.
Dusty told the committee the town's suggested condition — that the old mobile home be removed — is required by the county ordinance, so the committee did not add any further conditions. Committee members raised no objections and approved the conditional use on roll call. Dusty noted the item does not have to be forwarded to the full county board: "This does not have to be before the full board," he said.
