Mesquite ISD approves Encore easements for two properties near Vanguard High and new middle school

The board approved two easement requests from Encore affecting district-owned property. Mr. Poole described the first request as a 15-foot electrical easement across seven platted lots just north of Vanguard High School; trustees approved the request on a motion by Mr. Bingham, seconded by Mr. Carville.
Mr. Poole then described a second request at 3700 Beltline Road for two easements to install guide wires to straighten two leaning electrical poles near a new middle school site. Trustees approved that request on a motion by Ms. Collier, seconded by Mr. Carville. Mr. Poole told trustees the easements are recommended to allow electrical work to proceed and noted the properties are district-owned.
"It's a 15-foot electrical easement across the front of the property," Mr. Poole said while explaining the request near Vanguard High. The board voted to approve both easements by voice vote.
