Board adopts multiple revised policies including NIL and AI guidance
Summary
On final reading the board adopted a package of new and revised policies from the NEOLA update including a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) athletics policy, updates to entrance requirements, grading, class rank and an Artificial Intelligence policy replacement (po7540.09).
The board gave final approval to a set of new and revised board policies recommended in the NEOLA update package.
Policies adopted on final reading included a new policy on Name, Image and Likeness in athletics (po2431.06), revisions to entrance requirements (po5112), grading (po5421), class rank (po5430), purchasing and bidding (po6320), and a replacement Artificial Intelligence policy (po7540.09), among others listed in the packet. The motions were made as part of Superintendent recommendations and recorded in the minutes as carried 5–0.
Board materials indicated the policy package stems from NEOLA local updates and special updates issued earlier in the year; adopted changes will be posted in district policy sources and applied as appropriate for the 2026–27 school year.
