The Abernathy ISD Board of Trustees on March 9 approved the consent agenda, including multiple election‑administration appointments and a resolution adopting Hart Verity voting equipment for the May 2, 2026 election.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by David Carver and seconded by Matt Miller and passed 6–0 with one trustee absent. The consent package named Roxzine Stinson as Central Count Manager, Kristen Phelps as Tabulation Supervisor and Beth Bender as Central County Presiding Judge, and appointed Ronny Gallaher and Beth Shapiro to early voting ballot board roles. The agenda also included adoption of Hart Verity Data, Build, Central, Count, Duo Controller and Duo Writer software versions for use with Lubbock County in the May 2 election.
Board President Marcus Sullivan recorded the vote as Yea from six trustees and an absent member. The item appears as VII.A on the meeting agenda and was acted on without further amendment or recorded dissent.
