The Heritage Pines Community Development District on Dec. 10 adopted an amended budget for FY2023/2024 to account for a major equipment purchase and other adjustments.
District Manager Chuck Adams presented Resolution 2025‑02, explaining the amendment was necessary to reflect the new lawnmower purchase and that columns were added to the budget showing 'Actual' versus 'Adopted Budget' and proposed increases or decreases. The agenda record states that the "Operations and maintenance - Contingencies" line item was increased by $20,000 to cover potential journal entries; Ms. Lonergan noted the district will receive a refund of $1,298 from the Tax Collector’s Office.
The resolution was approved on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Mr. Putman, "with all in favor." The minutes do not list any votes against or abstentions. The $20,000 contingency will remain in surplus fund balance if unused.
