The Heritage Pines board accepted the unaudited financial statements dated Aug. 31, 2024, and heard that the district is opening a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus funds.
During discussion, Supervisor Michael Walsh asked whether SOLitude should compensate the district because of poor pond-treatment performance. District Manager Chuck Adams said he would contact SOLitude and "thinks it is reasonable to hold them 50% responsible." The board accepted the financial statements by motion.
Board members also noted that Premier Lakes' forthcoming report should include more detailed identification of ponds treated, addressing an open action item requesting that level of detail from the prior vendor.
