Trustees approved multiple College Credit Plus memorandums of understanding for the 2026-27 school year. The approvals included agreements with the University of Akron and Cuyahoga Community College (CCP MOUs), which will let qualifying BBHHS students take university courses for transcripted college credit while also meeting high school requirements.
Superintendent-recommended motions to adopt the MOUs were moved by Tish Kwiatkowski and seconded by Lisa Galek and passed 5-0. Administrators told the Board the agreements include academic-advising support, placement requirements, and clarity about who pays for textbooks in various delivery models. The action expands postsecondary access for students while retaining college course standards.
