Board approves wastewater service agreement for Central Pike Elementary

Wilson County Schools and City of Lebanon reached an interjurisdictional agreement to provide sewer service for Central Pike Elementary using South Wilson Utility District conveyance. Board approved the agreement after staff described permitting, flow calculations and TAP fees.
Staff presented an interjurisdictional wastewater service agreement needed to provide sewer service to Central Pike Elementary. Joe Haddix explained the permitting process (TDEC satellite collection permit), the design and plan review by the City of Lebanon, and testing requirements including pressure and vacuum testing. He said the district paid approximately $225,000 in TAP fees for connection capacity.
Board members asked about maintenance, contractor oversight and flow limits; Haddix said the city inspects and guarantees capacity once availability letters and plan approvals are issued. The agreement was approved unanimously, 5–0.
