Board approves transportation rates, surplus vehicle disposal and boiler-repair contract

On the superintendent’s recommendation the board approved transportation billing rates for the 2024–25 school year. The clerk read the rates: "Bus driver rate, $35.55 per hour. Bus attendant rate, 29 dollars 4 cents per hour. Mileage rate, $2.24 per mile." These rates were approved by voice vote.
The board also declared a 1998 Chevy pickup and a 2016 International school bus excess and authorized disposal. The mechanical-service contract for sectional-boiler repair was awarded to Muhlenberg Benz in the base amount of $14,825 with priced alternates for sectional replacements if needed. Separately, the board approved transferring $1.2 million into the capital-reserve building account from the 2023–24 unassigned fund balance to support upcoming capital work.
