Board accepts resignations and approves new hires, tenure

The board accepted the resignation of teacher aide Susan Walczak effective Aug. 30, 2024, and senior clerk typist Megan Picrillo effective Sept. 6, 2024, and thanked both for their service. By voice vote the board also approved the permanent appointment of Kendall Berdarni as a special-education teacher effective Oct. 16, 2024, and granted tenure to elementary teacher Jessica Johnson effective Oct. 11, 2024.
Other personnel actions included appointment of Patty Dallas as a cafeteria monitor effective Oct. 13, 2024, and hiring Billy Beck as a senior clerk typist on probation from Sept. 19, 2024, through March 18, 2025 under the CSEA contract schedule. Each action was presented on the superintendent’s recommendation and approved by the board in separate motions.
