Board President Rhonda Lewis called the Anna Independent School District Board of Trustees to order at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at the School Trustees Board Room, 201 E. 7th Street in Anna. Trustee Monty Renfro gave the invocation and Lewis led the Pledges of Allegiance; the minutes list trustees Jason Adams, Shelli Conway, Clark Miller, Monty Renfro, Shonda Rupe and Tiffany Terry as present, along with administrators Jeff Jones, Theodore Mackey and executive assistant Heather Mackey.
The board entered closed session at 6:32 p.m. "to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a district employee, including the superintendent, and consultation with legal counsel regarding legal and procedural matters related to the same," according to the meeting minutes. The board returned to open session at 8:07 p.m., and the minutes state there were no action items coming out of the executive session. A motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Clark Miller and seconded by Trustee Jason Adams; the motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
