Arlington ISD honors students and arts achievements at March meeting

Trustees heard performances from Bowie High School theatre students, celebrated student of the month Angeli Gonzalez, and recognized multiple All-State musicians and a student selected for the statewide Youth Art Month exhibition.
The March 12 meeting acknowledged student achievements across the district. Bowie High School theatre students performed under directors Joy Trimble and Lindsey Hertel; Sam Houston High School senior Angeli Gonzalez was recognized as student of the month for March for academic and athletic excellence; and six Arlington ISD students were named 2026 All-State musicians by the Texas Music Educators Association.
Burgin Elementary sixth grader Camila Lopez was also announced as a selected artist for the 2025–2026 Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. The recognitions highlighted the district's arts and music accomplishments for the year.
