Commissioners accept two December retirements, approve new hires and role changes

Forest County commissioners accepted retirements effective Dec. 5, 2025, and approved immediate and upcoming staffing changes including promotions and a new part-time cleaner.
The Forest County Board accepted retirement notices from Lynette Greathouse and Jean Ann Hitchcock effective Dec. 5, 2025. Both retirement acceptances were approved by unanimous motions from commissioners present.
The board also approved internal personnel moves: moving Randall Nicklas into the Transportation garage as a mechanic at $14.36 per hour effective Sept. 1, 2025; promoting part-time driver Dan Ochs to a full-time driver position to replace Nicklas; and hiring Patricia Leicher as a part-time cleaning person at $10.87 per hour to service the Courthouse, Annex and Visitor Center. All personnel motions passed unanimously.
